Let us rejoice!

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Psalms 118:24 (ESV)

Today is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it! God has given you the gift of a new day today. It is your choice how you live this day. The Scriptures says “Let us rejoice...” Let us means you choose. So choose to enjoy this day. Smile at people and choose to effect a change in their day. Put on praise music on your drive to work and invite the Holy Spirit to ride with you. There is no better antidote to road rage. Acknowledge the beauty around you and recognize God’s touch in and on everything you see. If things are not going your way, don’t be discouraged. Take a moment and thank God for ordering your steps and protecting you from unseen harm. God loves you! He is like a mother hen hovering over her chicks. He will keep you safe from all harm if you work with Him. Listen to the promptings in your heart to do a certain thing, say a certain thing, stay still or go in a different direction. God’s mercies are new every morning. Choose to walk in His mercies today. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Psalms 118:24 (ESV)
